Looking thru some pictures a few days ago I came across some of both Winter and Summer throwing. I thought it might be interesting to share... The 1st picture is of a windsurfing board, a great target, located at my friends home in in Stuart Florida. This was the first year he owned the home so he didn't have a target for me when my wife and I arrived for our usual February visit to Florida. After some discussion about the difficulty of finding tree rounds down there he remembered a worn out windsurfing board under his pier. We nailed it to 2 trees in his yard and it was a wonderful target. The outside was a heavy vinyl and the inside a very dense kapok, almost like wood. It held up so well it lasted for the 2 weeks we were there before it was finally destroyed. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Enter the atl atl. As you can see the atl atl is a throwing stick made with a spur on the end that hooks into the end of the arrow, or dart. You get 2 to 3 times the distance and striking power because of the atl atl and I can throw the dart to a maximum of 200 feet. It's really great to throw the atl atl in the cold weather and I have invented a technique that really helps. You wear a glove on your left hand and keep your right hand in your pocket (or vice versa) do all the carrying and picking up of darts with your left hand and just use your right for throwing. It works pretty well. ![]() The atl atl has gotten very popular and there are lots of full time atl atl throwers. I see the record for an atl atl throw is over 800 feet. This seems impossible to me but they use much longer atl atls and longer and even springier darts. See you can throw all Winter long!
