WASHINGTON THROWERS ![]() "I guess I’ll be the first to represent Washington State. I started collecting, throwing, modifying and making knives in 2001. I love throwing hawks and heavy knives and am still quite frustrated with the delicate art of throwing those little floaters ;o) " ![]() "I started throwing recently (July 27, 03) and I'm interested in finding some clubs or people to talk to. I already own about 15 knives for collecting and decided I'd finally learn how to throw." ![]() "I'm starting a knife throwing program in the Seattle area. Anyone interested can call me at (425) 445-4868." ![]() "Been throwing since 2001. 68 years young. I use Tru Balance throwing knives. Lately have been using sharpened barn spikes and have played with 12 inch long, 1/2 inch sharpened cap screws. I also have and enjoy throwing tomahawks. Would like to have some one to throw with and maybe learn from." ![]() "I bought two 7" Blazing Arrow throwers when I was in fourth grade, but they didn't really work for me. A week ago I picked them up again and got the Info-Pak and now I'm back into it and already ordering two new Colts. I really don't know much about this sport but I'd like to learn." ![]() "" ![]() "Knives, tomahawks, cats, dogs and occasionally the mule: pigs are not the only things that fly. Don't worry though, I can't hurl the mule more than three feet. I live up here in Custer, WA: what are the chances of getting together for a toss, once every four to six weeks; somewhere centrally located?" ![]() 425-737-5300 "My name is Doug Compton and I live in Marysville, WA. About 25 miles north of Seattle. Hoping I can get in touch with some local guys/gals that are into the sport and can potentially point me in the right direction." ![]() "I have been throwing for about 25 years. Lived on acreage outside of the city for most of that time and really got hooked on it. It became the focus of my existence for several of those years. I throw mainly the larger 12 inch/12 ounce knives at 30 feet off target using paper plates stapled to the back board. I used Hibbens 10 - 12 inch pro throwers mostly but my favorite has always been a WW2 bayonet. I would cut the blade right at the handle and file down the end a bit and wrap the handle end of the blade with parachute cord and dip it in resin to make my own handle and the knife would still be about 10 inches, double edged and indestructible." ![]() "I run a thrown weapons range for the Society for Creative Anachronism (SCA).We throw axe, knife and spear! SCA participants dress in Middle Ages clothing and attend year round events which may feature tournaments, art exhibits, classes, workshops, dancing, and feasts. " ![]() "" ![]() www.corkery.net "I have been throwing for several years and have a collection of knives, hatchets and axes. Great Zen practice tool. Would enjoy meeting other throwers or introducing the art to people who are interested. Also into primitive bows and bow making."
