We have some neat stuff for you, and I hope you enjoy it. And now on to the fun stuff... CUSTOM DESIGNS UPDATE I'm sure you all remember custom knife maker, Jeff Koch. We have posted pics of his knives many times before and now I have some new ones to share! THROWZINI THROWING PARTY On a side note, I'm having another Throwzini Throwing Party on June 28th, from 10am - 2pm (IF the weather cooperates.) I know you're all thinking... "Holy Buhjeezus! Thats this Saturday!" But sometimes ya just gotta throw! I know this is very short notice but "the girlfriend" (aka Renae :-) is going camping and I have the weekend open! So I figured I would just let everyone know that if its not raining on Saturday, I'll be throwing knives. And if you're not busy, you're invited! :-) It's not going to be a competition, (but I'm sure a few will take place) but more of an introduction to the sport for a few friends/neighbors or any other "interested parties". So if there's anyone near Milwaukee, WI who wants to come by and throw, just drop me an email and I'll fill you in on the details and directions. Just bring yourself and something to drink and I'll supply everything else (knives, hawks, targets, tweezers, band aids... etc :-))) Also, I will be having more "get-togethers" throughout the Summer and I will be sure to plan them way ahead of time so everyone can better plan for it. So don't worry if you can't make this one, there will be plenty more! GUEST COLUMN: ANOTHER GREAT SOURCE FOR HOMEMADE KNIVES by James Aldrich I mow grass for a living. I also throw knives. Most mowers recycle their old blades (for maybe ten cents a pound) or they throw them away. But with nothing more than a grinder (I also use a circular saw with a metal cut-off blade but you don't have to) you can turn that used blade into a mighty fine throwing knife! Just look up a local mowing company and ask them what they do with their used blades, many will give them to you or sell them for less than a dollar a piece. (I know this because I called around the Indianapolis area). The biggest cost is your own time. I can make a knife, which is functional but not pretty, in less than two hours.
