As you know, we always encourage new throwers to attend the Chucker. However, this year we will have three divisions of throwers. A "youth division", an "I don’t throw much but I want to have a good time division" and an "I practice, I’m ready and I’ve come to kick your butt division." It’s our 6th year for this West Coast Event. This year will be our biggest tournament yet. We invite everyone to attend the fun! I’ve been asked: 1. Do I need to be a Pro to participate? No! 2. Will there be a raffle with cool prizes? Yes! 3. Will there be food? Yes! 4. Will there be beverages, including beer? Yes! 5. Will there be other "skill" contests for non-knife people? Yes! 6. Will there be trophies? Yes! 7. Can I win money? Yes! 8. Will Carl be having another heart attack? Hell NO! The Rules: You may only attend if you want to have a good time and meet nice people. No bad attitudes will be tolerated. Micah will handle all personnel problems. The "youth division" and the "I don’t throw much but I want to have a good time division" will throw a half spin and a full spin. Distance from the target and length of the knife doesn’t matter at the Chucker, just spins. There will be 4 targets. The bulls eye is worth 3 points, the inner ring is worth 2 points and the rest of the round is worth one point. You will throw 24 - ½ spin throws and 24 - full spin throws. The most points wins. The "I practice, I’m ready and I’ve come to kick your butt division" will throw a 1/2 spin, one spin, 1 ½ and two spins. This division will throw 20 knives at each distance for a total of 80 knives. The most points wins. In addition, there will be a spear throw. In addition, there will be blowgun contest. In addition, there will be 'best poker hand' knife contest and a best poker hand blowgun contest, bring money! The winner will get the pot! You could get lucky and win this one! More Particulars: There will be $10.00 entry fee to help defray the trophy, food and beverage costs. Raffle tickets are $1.00 each. Poker contest is a $1.00 buy-in. The more people that buy in the bigger the pot. Skill and luck will be involved in the games so everyone has a chance to win. The Date: October 21, 2006. The 'I practice, I’m ready and I’ve come to kick your butt division' starts immediately after the first groups.
