Online Knife Throwing Competition

THE REASON FOR ONLINE COMPETITIONS

Online throwing competitions were started because many people can't attend an actual event due to how far away the events are being held, or because they couldn't get enough time off of work etc. So the idea is to have an "online tournament" hoping more people can take part and have a good time throwing against others.

2nd EVENT (Results Listed Below)

Here are the directions if you would like to get in on the 2nd 'Throwzini Online Knife Throwing Tournament':
* Stand at 13.5 feet. No closer, no further from the target.

* Use any sized knife you want. Throw it by the handle or the blade, it doesn't matter as long as it sticks in the target.

* Target height can be anywhere from your knees to your chest.

* Attach the following 10 items to your target/s:

1 playing card
1 business card
2 - 3 inch squares
3 - 2.5 inch bullseyes
8 inch long 2 inch thick strip of paper
a 4 inch long 1 inch thick strip of paper
1 old AOL cd/disc. (If you don't have one, just wait and one will show up in your mail eventually :-)

* You must hit your intended target before you can move on to the next target.

* Write down how many knives it took you to hit each target and send your results in to me by August 31st, 2005. We want to know how many knives it took you to hit all 10 targets.

Prize: Bragging Rights! :-)

RESULTS

Dalmo Mariano Da Silva (Brazil)
13 and half feet is a strange distance for me. I chose the one and half spins and most of the knives stuck handle Down.

SCORES:

1) CD - 2 knives.
2) Playing card - 4 knives.
3) First square paper - 3 knives.
4) Second square paper - 6 knives.
5) Big Strip - 3 knives.
6) Small strip - 13 knives! A lot very close, but just one hit.
7) Business card - 1 knife, lucky strike!
8) First small circle - 5 knives.
9) Second small circle - 10 knives
10) Third small circle - 6 knives.
Total - 53 knives

Thanks for the idea, I enjoyed the play, only I'm a bit ashamed for the knives I spent on the small strip and in the second small circle.
Abraço

Throwing 14 inch Throwzini Throwers
13 ½ ft. - one spin (choked up on handle and added a little speed)

Scott, The distance for this one made it a real challenge. What will you come up with next? I put up the targets one at a time and removed knives if they blocked the target. That was fun!! Let’s do it again!

Threw Jeff Koch 14" Bullets.
I stood at 13 1/2 ft as instructed and chose a 1 1/2 spin with a slightly modified grip to slow the spin a bit and a more spread open stance.

Targets were chosen randomly except for the CD, I wanted that for my GRAND FINALE!!!

Ace of Clubs - 2 knives (Center cut)
8"x 2" rectangle - 1 knife (center cut)
Business Card - 1 knife (edge cut)
2 1/2" Circle - 8 knives (edge cut)
4"x 1" rectangle - 5 knives (edge cut)
2 1/2" Circle - 11 knives (center cut)

2 1/2" circle 1 knife (center cut)
CD 1 knife (center cut) :)) (2nd knife was delivered for fun and hit the dead center and exploded it!!)
Grand Total - 41 knives.

All edge cuts were stuck into the paper, but broke an edge & all centers were with no breaking of edges at all.
