MOUNTAINMAN CHALLENGE 2002 July 6th and 7th, 2002, in Creede, Colorado. $4000 Cash and Total Prizes (Cash for Men's and Women's Professionals). Primitive prizes for Men, Women, and Junior Amateurs ENTRY FEES Men's and Women's Professional - $50.00 Men's and Women's Amateurs - $25.00 Junior Boy's and Girl's (Under 15) - $5.00 Registration begins at 9am, Contests start at 10am. All contestants must be in primative dress (Pre 1840's). Knives must be mountainman style. No professional style throwing knives. Knives must have 1 edge sharpened to the hilt. All knives will be thrown by the handle only. All knives must have a handle made of natural materials (bone, antler, wood, rawhide or leather. Tomahawks must not have a cutting edge of over 4". Tomahawks must have separate heads and handles. No taped handles.
