1." One of my new custom throwers, made to my pattern by Lee Fugatt. 2. The full set of five knives. These are 13 5/8" long, 1 1/2" wide, and 3/16" thick. 3. Another shot of the set of five, just to show them off along with some of my latest pottery. 4. A knife gripped for a fast spin by the blade. Although this pattern is easily thrown by either the blade or handle, I've designed in a slightly elongated point, to suit them a little better for my hand and for my favorite throw - one and one-half turns. 5. A knife gripped for a slower spin by the blade. I find that placing the thumb along the top of the knife in the manner recommended by Harry McEvoy slows the rate of spin considerably. 6. A knife gripped for a slower spin by the handle. This picture emphasizes the elongated point. A bright cord decoration makes the knives easier to find in grass or ground litter.
